The Interior Designers Association of Nigeria (IDAN)’s event
planning committee is currently putting together her 2nd annual interior design
exhibition; GUIDE.
GUIDE (Gida Uno Ile Design Exhibition) was coined from the
word HOME in 3 predominant languages in Nigeria: Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba
respectively.
GUIDE was set up to orient the public about Interior
Architecture, Interior/Product Design and Decoration, to enhance knowledge
about the profession while encouraging co-operation between design
professionals and showcasing our contributions to the society.
As we continue on
this journey, the importance of strengthening our industry is very key to us.
This year, our focus as an organization is to further build our design
community with strong roots for steady growth… We acknowledge and strongly
believe that how one starts determines where he or she is going.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
Design Clinic: Where some of the country’s most talented
interior designers will be offering FREE design consultations to visitors…bring
along photos of problem areas in your home or office, drawings and sketches of
whatever projects you are working on and get useful advice and design tips!
Young Talent Competition: This segment will showcase the
work of 3 students, the winners of the competition; exhibit for FREE and have a
chance to win AMAZING prizes i.e. enhanced education, internships and much
more…
Design Seminars/Workshops: Industry Professionals will
lecture us on various topics such as professional practice, colors, light,
finishes and much more!
Design lounge: Need a break stop by at the lounge designed
by one if IDAN’s Interior Designers (great music, drinks, chill out spot at the
centre of the exhibition.)
Over 90 exhibitors: A room filled with Nigerian’s top
Interior Designers & Decorators such as Afromero, Southwood, Inu Designs,
Blue Mahogany, DO II, Installations, Sunflex, ,Veneblinda, Roma fruits of
Nature, idesign, Doshlaps caxtonalileINTERIORS, Portofino, Alexandra Designs
and Pinceto.
