How to Revamp your Ceiling and give it character.

Yes, REVAMP. There is no law that says ceilings have to be WHITE. Most times ceilings are painted white, but that shouldn't always be the case. But I'm also guilty, most times it is what we get in every apartment. It is a safer color. But the ceiling is an integral part of the room like the wall. Therefore,be creative in creating an accent ceiling.
Below are ways to revamp your ceiling to give it a decorative and attractive look.

• If the ceiling is high, you can apply red, gray or chocolate brown color to give it warmth and coziness. 
• For ceilings that are not too low, don't use dark colors because it will make the space appear smaller and the ceiling will feel closer.
• You can paint an accent wall with vertical stripes, this will make your wall appear longer and your ceiling appear higher.
• Another trick is to paint an accent wall same color as the ceiling but stick to one wall for the accent wall.It makes the wall feel like an extension to the ceiling.
• You can also paint all the walls same color as the ceiling.It will make it seem taller.
• If the wall color is light, use the same color on the ceiling.
• For darker walls, use a shade lighter than the wall paint on the ceiling.
