As promised, I said I will post a recipe once a week. Was still trying to decide on what recipe to start with, until I got an order for Oha soup. Thanks dear for the order( WINK), I hope you liked it. I have decided to share the recipe.
Oha soup as pronounced by people from Imo and Abia or Ora soup as pronounced by Anambra people, is a delicacy of the eastern part of Nigeria.

1/2 cup Oha leaves, chopped( however the myth is to shred the leaves by hand not cut with a knife) LOL
100g mashed cocoyam
400g of dried fish
1 seasoning cube
Fresh yellow pepper
1 blended onion
1 cup grounded crayfish
200g softened stockfish
200g kpomo
2 cups perewinkle( optional)
5 tbsp palm oil
Salt to taste
DIRECTIONS
1.Wash the meat, season and boil.
2. After,20 minutes add the stockfish and dryfish
3.Add your blended crayfish, onions and yellow pepper
4.Boil the cocoyam with the skin till soft, remove the skin and pound or blend( this should be done before)
5. Add the blended cocoyam to the meat stock
6.Add your seasoning ie ogili, stock cube and salt to taste
7.Add the palmoil
8.Add the oha leaves towards the end and cook for just 5 mins.
9. Serve with either pounded yam, eba, fufu, semo.
10. Enjoy your meal
Please try it and let me know what you think. Feel free to send in your own recipes to be featured on the blog.
Bon Appetit
