20 Signs that you should become an Interior Designer.

OK, it is a new year and one should access one's career path. Are you happy in your career path, do you hate your job or have you being thinking of what business to do. Well, this is the time to access and follow your passion. However most people are confused on what their passions really are.



Well, here are tips to show you if a career in Interior design is for you.
Interior designers are creative yet logical thinkers who understand what it takes to pull a room together into a cohesive, beautiful and most importantly a functional space. Do you have the unique mind of an interior designer, the mind that is capable of sheer artistry combined with ultimate logic?

If yes, below are tips on how to ascertain.

1. Do you obsess about decorating details: If most of the pictures on your DP are mostly on bedroom, sitting room, kitchen ideas etc?
2.Do you access your friends and families home unconsciously and wonder why they choose a particular paint color or furniture?



3.Do you fantasize about room arrangements and new decor solutions?
4.Do you keep rearranging furniture in your home?
5.Do your kids or spouse keep asking you where you put their stuff or toys?
6.Do you keep redesigning your home at least every six months?
7.Do family and friends keep asking you for decorating ideas? then that's a compliment.


8.Do people ask you for your opinion on color or fabric when they want to redesign their home?
9.When people mention they are remodeling or building a new space, are you tempted to want to assist in the design?
10. Do you have the ability to see the potential in a ramshackle building, everyone thinks is bad?

11. Not only do you know the primary colors, you know the tertiary, complementary and analogous colors and how to combine them.
12.You know the psychology of color and how it can affect the mood of the space.
13.You have the contacts of painters, carpenters, curtain makers and all artisans needed to work in a space.


14.Your bag or briefcase is full of measuring tape, tools, color swatches etc.
15. You are a DIY person.
16. You love to shop for furniture or your enjoy window shopping in a furniture or interior decor store and get carried away and loose track of time, like MOI...


17.You can turn old furniture into a beautiful work of art and rearrange the space.
18.You have an in depth knowledge into the world of fabrics and not just the regular cotton, silk etc.
19.You know how and where to use these fabrics in designing a space.
20.You are obsessed about finding the next big piece by browsing online or going into showrooms.



If you answered YES to most of these,then it is clear you were born to be an Interior designer. So it maybe time to reconsider your present career path or business. Don't be part of the people who hate their career.
